Changes to my Study programme

Hello partners! Today I will talk to you about the changes I would make to my study program.

Well first of all I want to mention that I study sociology.

I consider mainly that the aspect of the subjects is very well equipped, I believe that the branches of the first years are in accordance and above all they achieve a great adaptation to the university world, in addition to introducing very well what the career is about. On the other hand, if I consider that our career lacks branches that are linked even more with the practice of our knowledge, since for the most part, they are all theoretical branches that many times would be better understood by going to the field. Above all, seeking to have a more enriching experience and demonstrate that in sociology it is really important to connect with people and environments.

Regarding infrastructure, I believe that the university offices do not have their own identity, it is necessary for us as students to intervene in it, whether they are murals, works, etc. In addition, in the case of laboratories, I believe that the university should be responsible for buying more computers that provide a vast amount with the total number of students, since many times they have to share or some colleagues carry their own computers for this very reason.

Regarding the teaching methods, I consider that they are quite good, I think that the teachers are quite prepared to perform very well in the classroom.

Finally, I would like to add that the university should take on a real public role, since over time it has managed to lose it. In this sense, the fact that the access scores are so high each time approaches an elite university since, few can access, in addition to being a demanding university where many of its students cannot reconcile their studies with activities or work extras like taking care of their children, working to pay for their studies, etc. With this in mind, I would like you to take charge and reflect on it by taking concrete actions for the well-being of the students.

  1. how important it is to go to the field!!, I think we cannot learn everything being locked in classrooms, besides that the university should be much more inclusive

  2. I think the lack of field training is an issue for the entire faculty. And it is such a pity!
